This is a huge topic that is going viral and is on the lips of almost all Indians. Some are going for Dhoni and some are taking sides with Sachin Tendulkar. So we thought that this would be the best time to come up with this topic and somewhat resolve it so that there are no grounds of conflict anymore.
So let us get to the root of this contradictory issue and bring out the best of it.
Is MSD better than Sachin?
Ok, let us think in this way- what are we comparing between? One has been a successful person all his life and is daintily retired and the other one is still on the ground. Sachin has enjoyed his prime days of cricket and that is the same thing that Dhoni is doing now. So comparing both of them will be like comparing two entirely different things so it is kind of a silly discussion.
Some might say that there can be the comparison that can be pulled up as per the batting styles of both the players, but then both of their styles have brought the desired results for the team and that is what matters at the end of the day. The things that Sachin did will never be same as the things that Mahendra Singh Dhoni does today- since both of them are completely different individuals and with completely different perspectives towards the game.
There is an amazing incident when both of the players were playing at the end of the innings- and MSD was busy blasting his batting. Once Sachin got the strike and touched the boundary, Harsha Bhogle was prompt in commenting, “We have a surgeon at one end and a butcher at the other”. Though it was just for the fun, yet there was not a chance the crowd was able to miss the deeper meaning of the same.
Yes, it is true that there have been a number of times when one player played better than the other, but no matter what, Sachin will always have the seniority over Mahendra Singh Dhoni and he himself has accepted that with a great gusto as well.
Though the crowd has been blowing up with the fact as to whether MSD is better than Sachin, it is really somewhat irrelevant- when we have a look at their track record in a respective manner.
